You can see I made a huge error! I was half way through the embroidery when I realized I had forgotten to rotate the design.
I cut out the "offending" design and surrounding fabric from the shirt and interfaced the back of it. I then made a rectangular appliqué of Hawaiian fabric and finished by appliquéing the embroidered patch on top of that!
The fringed hula girl is from the Tropical Vacation collection.
I was in a big hurry getting ready to go to a party when my husband asked me to make a golf towel for our friend. When I showed him the towel I was told, "That's not how you spell Willie." At first I was upset, but then I sewed a red satin stitch across the error, and embroidered the proper spelling below it. I attached a card that read, "I hope your golf game is better than my spelling!"
